Job Description

This position administers Title 25, Chapter 102 of the Department of Environmental Protection Rules & Regulations of the Clean Streams Law involving earthmoving activity and stormwater management in Montgomery County to reduce soil loss and enhance water quality associated with construction activity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct NPDES and Ch. 102 E&S plan/permit application reviews for construction activity and stormwater management;

Participate in permit pre-application, permit review, & pre-construction meetings with permit applicants and engineers;

Coordination with landowners, municipal officials, state and federal agencies, consulting firms, farmers, developers, utilities, and conservation associations as needed;

Conduct site inspections to verify implementation and functionality of erosion & sedimentation control/stormwater management;

Inspect and handle erosion complaints received, following established procedures;

Provide technical assistance on conservation of soil and water resources;

Assists with presentations and workshops;

Provide information and guidance to the regulated public on District programs and state/federal regulations;

Attend training events, conferences, and meetings as assigned;

Complete database entry;

Prepare monthly reports;

Minimum Requirements
