The City of Portland is currently seeking a Data Analyst to join the AT Traffic Safety team within the Portland Bureau of Transportation!
The Vision Zero Data Analyst will support and promote the development of Vision Zero policies, systems, programs and outreach to improve traffic safety and enhance safe systems throughout the City. This position will work in the Safety Section of the Active Transportation Division. The Vision Zero Data Analyst focuses on traffic crash and other safety analysis, mapping, data visualization, and other bicycle, pedestrian and complete streets focused transportation planning and analysis.
What you’ll get to do:
• Provide data analysis, research support and data visualization to planning, design and outreach teams for transportation projects
• Serve as a liaison to other work groups and bureaus in the City on issues related to crash and other traffic safety data
• Analyze crash data and prepare statistical reports
• Interpret and analyze data from traffic modeling software, geographic information systems, databases and other information systems and general research sources.
